Along with school education, Jawahar Bal Bhavan is playing a very important role in the personality development of students. Efforts will be made to set up a centre like Bal Bhavan in every district of the state, said Minister of State for School Education Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar.
The 73rd anniversary of Maharashtra State Jawahar Bal Bhavan in Mumbai was celebrated on Monday in the presence of Minister of State Dr. Bhoyar. Prashant Bhamre, Non-Official Member of Bal Bhavan, Mumbai Divisional Deputy Director of Education Sandeep Sangve, Jawahar Bal Bhavan Director Neeta Patil, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Education Officer Rajesh Kankal and students were present along with him.
Minister of State Dr. Bhoyar said, the smile on the faces of students is the center piece of school education. For this, the state government is focusing on making education enjoyable. Along with education, various activities are being implemented with the aim of giving scope to the talents of students and developing their personality. Jawahar Bal Bhavan, established 73 years ago, is performing this task very well and looking at the excellence acquired by the students in singing, dancing, sports, various hobbies and seeing the smiles on their faces through this, it is evident that the purpose behind constructing this building has been achieved. He said that we will try to establish a centre like Bal Bhavan in every district so that students can cultivate their interests along with school education.
The winning students of various competitions conducted by Bal Bhavan were felicitated by the Minister of State, Dr. Bhoyar. The students won the hearts of the audience by presenting Bharatanatyam, Bal Geet, Adivasi Korku dance etc.
Around 12 Students from our school, SVS ENGLISH SCHOOL, Worli, were honoured to perform the Maharashtra tribal Korku dance at the get-together event at Maharashtra State Jawahar Balbhavan infront of a great audience among were dignitaries like the Education Minister and well affluent teachers and children from various school coming all the way from Navi Mumbai, Airoli , Panvel, Palghar and many dignified local schools .
Our Children had a great exposure to the various talents which were displayed there. It was worth being present there and something very very unique.
But adding to it our students from SVS ENGLISH SCHOOL, Worli, were also nothing less than impossible, they rocked the stage and audience with their electrifying performance of Korku dance.
The minister had not taken any other performance video, but he himself took the video clippings of our children who were doing the Korku dance and was gloriously appreciating their performance.
That was more than enough an award could quench the fire.
